Faculty

Dr. Cindy Volk is the Project Director of the Educational Interpreting Emphasis.  She has a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Arizona.  She has been an interpreter educator for more than 25 years.  She has national certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (CI, CT, SC:L).

 

Marie Tavormina is an Adjunct Instructor in the Educational Interpreter Emphasis.  She holds a MPA from the University of Arizona.  She is a national certified interpreter with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (CSC, CI, CT, SC:L) with over 25 years experience as an interpreter.  She has been an interpreter educator for 10 years.

 

Barb Borich (CI, CT) graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Rehabilitation.  She earned her M.A. in Language Reading and Culture.  Barb has worked as an interpreter since 1980, and currently works as an Access Consultant for the Disability Resource Center at the University of Arizona.
